Currently the forest villa is being thoroughly renovated and is bookable from spring 2024.
On the outskirts of Zuidbroek is hidden among the trees and adjacent to Botjes swimming bay the charming forest villa Het Veen. A cozy accommodation where you retreat with good company, a stack of books and a cup of tea by the stove. Where you wake up to twittering birds looking out over the country. It is a place where you enjoy peace and nature, where you put on your walking shoes and discover the surroundings. On the veranda you can enjoy the setting sun and where you can spot deer in the field with your binoculars.
Once checked in at Van der Valk Hotel Groningen - Zuidbroek, you will drive to the Bosvilla in 3 minutes. When you reach the Bosvilla via a small forest path, you arrive in an oasis of tranquility. The forest villa has a wood-burning stove for coziness and warmth on cold days, pleasant sitting areas and is warm and tastefully decorated. Through the French doors you step from the living room onto your own terrace. The forest villa has 2 double bedrooms, 1 family room with bunk beds and 3 bathrooms, all with walk-in shower and 1 with bathtub.
In the spacious forest garden you will find a sauna and a hot tub on your terrace. Can you picture it? At night in a warm bath under the stars with a glass of wine in one of the darkest areas in the Netherlands....
For dinner, let yourself be pampered culinarily in restaurant de Valkenier located in Van der Valk hotel Groningen - Zuidbroek.
With all the privacy and tranquility, this is truly a place in itself. The forest villa is suitable for 6 adults, 2 children (3-11 years) and 1 baby crib (0-3 years). Even bring your own horse, which has its own luxury stable in the horse hotel (for an additional fee).

Conditions:
- There is a crib available in the forest villa. Extra beds cannot be added.
- Room service is not possible.
- Dogs are not allowed.
- Different cancellation conditions apply for stays of 3 nights or longer. Free cancellation is possible up to 1 week before arrival. Within one week 70% of the reservation value will be charged. For cancellations within 24 hours before arrival, the full room price will be charged.
